Easy now that we live out in the sticks and we don't get trick-or-treaters, I don't have to buy candy LOL. But when the kids were little and we lived in town, I would buy candy that I didn't like so I wasn't tempted to eat any. When the kids came home any candy they didn't like in their bags went into the trash.

Moderation. There is some candy that have health benefits (i.e. dark chocolates, raisins, and nuts). Stay away from the sticky stuff... high in sugar and bad for your teeth!

By treating it like any other day. If I do buy candy, I'll buy stupid stuff that I don't like. Usually a bag of suckers. Nothing chocolate lol.

I buy small bags of pretzels instead of candy. That way if I don't get many kids, I don't feel bad having them around the house.

We don't. It's once a year, for heaven's sake.

I have hidden the candy from myself! And I allow myself 3 pieces of my favorite! Last year I saved 3 and found them in my junk draw about 2 months ago! Hehehe!
