There's no doubt about it -- weight loss apps on our phones have made counting calories and holding ourselves accountable easier. But, regardless of the great features these apps offer, there's one major issue. Not everyone has an iPhone, or a smart phone of any sort, for that matter.

One popular iPhone weight-loss app, Lose It!, has a solution -- the program is now available on the web, and, even better? It's free.

The way we see it, the benefits of this addition are two-fold. First, and most obvious, those of us without an iPhone (sniff, sniff) have the option of checking out a weight-loss program, which, according to Lose It!, has seen 86 percent of active users lose an average of 12.3 pounds.

Second, the idea of being able to add some of our more ingredient-heavy meals on our computer rather than on our phones holds great appeal. Sure, selecting "Greek yogurt and strawberries" doesn't take long, but cook a big family dinner, sometimes it seems like it takes longer to add the meal in on our tiny phone screen than it does to actually eat the darn meal. (We don't care how adept you are at thumb-typing on your touch screen -- typing on an actual keyboard is just faster.)

The website will allow for many of the same features of the app, including tracking food and exercise by setting a daily "budget" and forums to share your progress with friends and others trying to lose weight.

Do you use Lose It! on your phone? If so, will you use it on the web? And if you don't use Lose It!, what other apps would you like to see in a computer-friendly version?
