Lack of B Vitamins Linked to Depression, Dementia: This Week on AOL Health

More milk in your cereal and more eggs in your omelet could help prevent the onset of several mental health conditions and slow the decline of brain function, new research suggests.

A recent study found that low levels of several B vitamins were linked to disorders like depression and dementia.

B-12, found in animal-based products like cheese, meat and eggs, is generally deficient among people living in poverty-stricken areas of the world, but low levels can also be found in the elderly U.S. population, said nutritionist and study author Lindsay Allen.
