Not enough time to work out is simply not an excuse for Kelly Ripa. The perky host of "Live With Regis and Kelly" appears in a variety of print and TV ads and is also a busy mom and wife. How does she do it? The answer is simple: lots of hard work.

When That's Fit caught up with the energetic Ripa at The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's annual fundraiser Super Saturday 13 in Watermill, N.Y., she spilled the beans on how she stays fit and trim.

Finding time to exercise has become a part of Ripa's everyday routine. No matter how busy the New York-based entertainer gets, she doesn't think twice about carving out time in her schedule to hit the gym and work up a good sweat.

"I work out every day, and I make sure do something different every day," said Ripa. "I like to do SoulCycle, Physique 57, and I even like the Tracey Anderson Method. Throw them together, and there you go -- I mix them all up."

By mixing things up, not only does Ripa avoid the pitfalls of getting bored, but she is also able to maintain her petite figure.

Because Ripa is so disciplined about exercising and keeping her workouts fun, she feels she is in the best shape of her life. What makes her fitness routine even more successful, she said, is the fact she still follows the advice she got years ago from her sister-in-law, a doctor, when Ripa first mentioned her interest in following an exercise program.

"Don't do it for how it makes you look on the outside, because that will come with time," Ripa recalled. "Do it for how it makes you feel on the inside. Pretend you are wearing your heart muscle on the outside, because you are doing this for your heart."

To this day, Ripa still remembers those words every time she enters the gym.

"Depending on the course of my day," Ripa said, "I'll work out 45 minutes to an hour and a half every day. It has become a very important part of my life."

Prioritizing her workouts means that Ripa is not only confident in how she looks but is also happy to eat anything she wants in moderation.

"I don't diet because I feel moderation is the key to what I eat," she said. "So if you were to ask me what my guilty pleasure was, I will tell you it is French fries and white wine, and no, I don't feel remorseful about eating them."
