Want to rev up your weight loss this summer? Carole Carson wants to help. The fitness apostle is heading up the AARP's new summer-long wellness program -- Fat-to-Fit -- and is helping people all over the country get healthy. It takes determination, hard work and more than a little sweat, and she should know -- at the age of 60, Carson amazingly shed over 60 pounds from her petite 5-foot, 1-inch frame. "I'm living proof that you're never too old to get fit," Carson said in an AARP press release.

Intrigued? The Fat-to-Fit Summer Weight Loss Challenge, which runs until September 6, is a free program in which participants track their weight, log their physical activity and make use of the diet tools and tips provided. It also includes access to the online community of which Carson is a big part of -- she'll be blogging regularly and sharing not only her story but her secrets to success.

Oh, did I forget to mention there's a prize? The top dieter will win a year-long membership to Gold's Gym, as well as we trip to Orlando. And don't panic -- the winner isn't selected solely on pounds loss. They'll be graded on things like how much of a role model they are, how well they embody the program's spirit and so on. Plus, Carson will be doling out weekly prizes, so even if you miss out on the big one, you'll still have a chance to score some loot.

To sign up, enter your weight on the Fat-to-Fit Web site. And no, it's not just for seniors -- as long as you're over 18 and a legal resident of the United States, you can participate.
