Tomorrow, That's Fit expert and renowned health and fitness guru Denise Austin will join Jane Fonda for World Fitness Day in Atlanta, Georgia. Fonda created the event to celebrate the benefits of good health and bring greater attention to the importance of health and wellness at every age. Fitness experts Richard Simmons, Billy Blanks, Debbie Allen and Dr. Sanjay Gupta will all be in attendance at the Georgia Dome as well. "It's kind of like the Woodstock of fitness," Austin told That's Fit. About 3,000 people are expected to participate in the day's events.
"Jane is doing the warm up and then I'll come on after her with some fun, high energy aerobics," Denise said. Allen and Blanks will also lead participants in exercise sessions, and Ludacris and the Pointer Sisters will be performing.
In addition to raising awareness about fitness and wellness, the event will benefit the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, a nonprofit organization Fonda founded in 1995. "As the mother of two teenage daughters, I am happy the event will be raising money for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention," Austin told That's Fit. "The objective is to help young women understand the benefits of health and fitness and learning respect for your body."
