Infertility Under 30: This Week on AOL Health

About 15 perfect of couples in the United States face infertility issues, and many undergo fertility treatments and surgeries in the hopes of increasing their chances of having a baby. Though many assume these couples are older, about 10 percent are under the age of 30.
The most common causes of infertility in younger adults are blockage in the fallopian tubes and irregular ovulation and periods, commonly caused by polycystic ovary syndrome. Dawn Ryden, a 28-year-old, suffers from PCOS and endometriosis, a uterine condition. She has tried numerous strategies to increase her chances of getting pregnant -- from fertility drugs to removing ovarian cysts via surgery to acupuncture -- but to no avail.
