you are right about feeling it mostly in the knees, i used to do all these workouts and found the best is walking, ive never been fitter, and all i need are a good pair of shoes, forget the stupid workouts, if you can waLK, WALK...I HATE WORKOUTS, I LOVE WALKING AND IT FEELS GOOD AND YOU FEEL GOOD AFTERWADS.
