Start weight: About 235. I never stepped on a scale.
Current weight: 135 pounds
My weight loss approach: I never set out to lose 100-plus pounds. During my senior year of college, I decided to start making some healthy changes in my life. I got off the couch and started walking and made water my beverage of choice.
Once I got moving, the weight started falling off, and when I completely cut out sugar and all refined foods, I lost the weight rather quickly. I've now kept it off for over 10 years.
Why I wanted to blog about it: A couple of years ago when I began reading health and fitness blogs, I noticed that there weren't many written by someone who had lost a large amount of weight through diet and exercise alone, so I decided to start my own.
The best part of blogging is: The friends I have found in other bloggers. It's an amazing community.
Best comment I've received: Oh gosh, I get the most amazing comments and emails from my readers. They inspire me daily and remind me why I began blogging in the first place.What's next for my blog: Who knows what's in store for "Heather Eats Almond Butter?" Blogging is something I look forward to everyday, and I have no other plans than to keep writing about my life, posting my crazy eats and writing about my yoga adventures.
