The Biggest Loser: Second Chance, Times Two

Week 11 at "The Biggest Loser" spent more time on the scale than in the gym. The show opened with a live teaser highlighting Wayne, an at-home fan who lost hundreds of pounds with help from "The Biggest Loser." But Wayne didn't step on the scale until the end of the show. Instead, eliminated contestants jumped on the scale in hopes of a return spot at the ranch. But percentage of weight loss did not win this one -- two second chance spots were determined by popular vote and a 1,000-step challenge.At-Home Fan Loses 418. About two years ago, Wayne sat in a wheelchair thanks to morbid obesity. But after being inspired by the show, he lost 418 pounds to weigh-in live last night at 256. His secret weapon? Walking and, obviously, an improved diet. This isn't the last time we'll see Wayne -- Allison awarded him a visit to The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge and the Season 9 finale.
A Second Chance Election. The nine remaining contestants were met with multiple surprises. Not only is the game back to singles, but a popular vote determined which eliminated player would return to the ranch. Mama Sherry scored the highest percentage of weight loss (28.44 percent) and looks great at 156 pounds, but the vote came down to John (17.56 percent) or Victoria (20.39 percent). Remember, Victoria was on the mother/daughter Blue team that departed the ranch early and lost a chance to return to O'Neal and Sunshine. Michael's vote for Victoria broke the tie, shaking up Ashley/Sam/Koli's block of votes for John.
A Second Chance Challenge. When Allison announced that a 1,000-step challenge would determine the second returning player, Melissa and Miggy perked up. A fit-looking Melissa won this grueling event after Miggy's asthma flared up. Contestant count is back up to a worried 11 as both Melissa and Victoria were granted immunity their return week. Never, ever take your spot for granted on the ranch.
Freeze Portions Ahead. More of a product placement for Ziploc freezer bags than a trainer tip, Bob advised Victoria to measure, then freeze a week's worth of portion sizes to eat right. Don't just toss those leftovers in the fridge, but take the time to divvy up reasonable portion sizes, then freeze for an easy grab 'n go on hectic weekdays.Girl Drama. Koli stirred up Ashley and Stephanie's friendship by suggesting Stephanie may have thrown a previous weigh-in. She lost two pounds the week Ashley's mom was sent home, then an impressive nine pounds one week later. Ashley sobbed with doubt, and Stephanie was left scared and crying. Two returning players and a girl-alliance gone bad? Must have been a full moon.
After a blow-out last chance workout, Victoria and Melissa dropped only six pounds combined. Lucky immunity for them. Thanks to Bob's training, O'Neal glided instead of hobbled up the stairs to lose another four pounds. Steady Daris lost an impressive seven pounds to Sunshine's six. Stephanie lost only one pound and a plane ticket home. Seven weeks later, she's down 96 pounds, wears a size 12 and is in love. See you next week as Melissa's got her game face on and the physical strength to back it up.
