French Elle's April Issue Celebrates Curves

Ultra-skinny models rule the fashion world, but is their reign coming to an end? Things could be headed that way now that a top fashion magazine featuring only plus-sized models is set to hit the stands. The April issue of France's Elle Magazine is going to be entirely focused on plus-sized models. Known as the "Spécial Rondes" (curvy issue), the magazine will have all sorts of tips, tricks and beauty secrets on how to dress and look your best when you don't fit into the idealized size-two mold, Plus Size and/or Tall reported. The spread boldly declares "Aime Vraiment Les Rondes," which translates to "loving the round."
Is this an innovative move? When you consider that Glamour Magazine in the US received an incredible amount of praise for adorning their pages with a size 12 model, it seems like a full issue embracing curviness is long overdue. This is one giant step towards teaching people to love their body at any size, so congratulations to the nation who famously declared that their women don't get fat for showing that women can be stylish at all sizes. All the same, the fashion world has a long way to go before they'll fully embrace full figures. In an industry where a size four model is labeled 'fat' and fired because of it, it's obvious that things aren't going to change overnight.
American actress and model Tara Lynn will adorn the cover of the magazine. She's previously shown off her curves in V Magazine, and has been described in one blog as having "adorable belly chub."
Speaking of embracing curves, can you guess which "Dancing With The Stars" contestant refuses to lose her shape?
