The Missoula Family YMCA works to provide a variety of activities and classes for all ages. The classes range from music lessons to spots like swimming, cycling, kick boxing, Tae Kwon Do and aerobics. Those who would like to participate in yoga and other mind-body classes can do that too. The YMCA has different schedules for each class and classes are offered throughout the day to accommodate one's needs.
Those who come to the gym have various levels of physical fitness, so you'll never feel intimidated. The professional staff including personal trainers, certified physicals therapists and teachers focus on members' needs. All members have the option of scheduling sessions with personal trainers. After the workouts, you can spend some time in the hot tubs or the sauna. Additionally, those with a limited time to workout can do a "Short Circuit" workout. This session begins with a brief warm-up. After that, you move every 60 seconds to various stations for a 30-minute workout.
In addition to cardio equipment and free weights, there is a full-sized basketball court and a smaller gym with a wood-floor dance studio. Indoor and outdoor tracks are also available.
Depending on your schedule, the YMCA have staff that are willing to help you out. The weekends are usually full of children enjoying their activities. The early mornings are less crowded and more relaxing for adults to exercise.
Check out how to pick the best gym for you.
