Two more medals were awarded to the U.S. Olympic team on Wednesday in Vancouver although they weren't the much hoped-for gold medals. The U.S. Women's Relay Speedskating team -- consisting of Allison Baver, Alyson Dudek, Lana Gehring and Katherine Reutter -- took home a bronze medal in the 3000m event yesterday, and the teams who rounded out the podium came as a shock to pretty much everyone. The usual balance of the Korean-dominated sport was turned upside down when the Korean team was disqualified after one of their skaters impeded a competitor, letting others have a chance at victory. The gold medal went to the Chinese team, and the Canadians took home silver.

The other bronze was awarded to the the women's Bobsleigh team after the finals at the Whistler Sliding Centre. Erin Pac and Elana Meyers missed the gold medal by 1.12 seconds but still managed to beat out several other amazing teams to score a spot on the podium. In the gold and silver spots were two Canadian teams. Gold medalists Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse were especially ecstatic with their top win after they just narrowly missed the bronze spot -- by 0.05 seconds -- in Torino in 2006.
