Review:
Wilmington, North Carolina has three Gold's Gyms. This gym on Racine Drive offers 24-hour service seven days a week. Located a little more than seven miles from the historic downtown area, it is near the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Members scan their key chain badges when entering the gym where they are greeted by happy and informative customer service staff members.

The two-story facility provides a variety of exercise equipment. Cardio equipment, including treadmills, elliptical machines, stair masters and bikes are upstairs. Downstairs there are upper and lower body machines, free weights, exercise balls, resistance bands and Bosu balls. Workouts with personal trainers focus on whatever the client needs, including weight loss, strength training or children's fitness.

Group exercise classes begin at 6:00 a.m. and run at various times throughout the day. Aerobics, yoga, martial arts, Pilates, power punch, kick boxing and spinning classes are offered. A class for kids addresses nutrition and exercise using a curriculum sponsored by the American Council on Exercise.

This gym is usually the busiest after work during the 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. period.
