The LA Fitness of Keller, Texas, is located on a major highway in the southeast corner of Keller. Turning across traffic can make the location seem intimidating at first, but this minor inconvenience can be side-stepped by using the back entrance/exit.
The open feel of this location is impressive as is the efficient placement of the many fitness options. The cardio equipment is outdated; to hear the sound on the televisions, patrons must use FM radios at a time when most people bring iPods or earphones. However, the sheer variety of fitness choices and accessibility is hard resist.
The members are both male and female, and are of all ages. Everyone is polite, but not quite friendly with members who are focused on their workout. The staff can answer questions competently when you approach them. They are unlikely to just volunteer their services.
Parents will likely be impressed with Kids Klub, the on-site child care facility featuring an indoor playground. LA Fitness strives to keep a low staff to child ration, but that can make it hard to work out during busy times. Also, the limited hours on weekends may be disappointing.
The four-lane lap pool is largely unremarkable. However, the nearby hot tub and sauna are definite selling points.The club also uses softer chemicals to make swimming easy on the eyes and allergies.
