Healthy Vending Machine Snacks: This Week on AOL Health

When your mid-afternoon snack attack hits, you may not always have something healthy on hand. Enter the infamous vending machine. Here at AOL Health and That's Fit, we're forced to pass our vending machines every time we get up to grab a cup of water, which means one of us can often be found digging around in our pockets and scrounging around our desk looking for loose change.
We know that the vending machine is inherently full of sweet-and-salty temptations that sing out to us from behind the glass, but that doesn't mean we have to fall prey to their song.
AOL Health's writer and nutritionist, Victoria Stein, admits that vending machines can be a "diet minefield," but sandwiched between the candy bars and giant bottles of soda are some healthy alternatives, like trail mix, granola and cereal bars.
