Review:
Now celebrating its 20th year, this Gold's Gym is a no-nonsense, results-oriented, machine-focused place to get in shape. Serious about fitness, the warm and inviting staff offer members and those using a trial pass a free personal training session to kick start their fitness journey.
The airy and spacious main floor sports brand new state-of-the art cardio and resistance equipment. The stairclimbers, treadmills, recumbent bikes and ellipticals have overhead television sets and personal Cardio Theater. A comfortable stretching alcove is located to the side of the main fitness floor. The members, about half men half women, are a happy crowd and chat between sets while respecting others' workouts.
There are an impressive array of group exercise classes including a wide range of the most popular cardio, strength and stretching class. Pilates, yoga and other mind-body classes are also offered. The only class not include in membership is a fee-based Fight Club. Instructors for all classes are great at cueing, checking form and offering a fun and exhilarating experience.
The locker rooms are grander than one would expect with beautiful stone entrances, red-cushioned seating, wood-toned lockers, clean showers and a co-ed sauna to chat it up with new friends.
Check out how to find the best gym for you.
