Olympic Highlights: Miller's First Gold, More Medals For USA

Over the weekend in Vancouver, the American ski team continued to dominate the sport, taking home gold, silver and bronze medals. Men's alpine skiing finally happened on Sunday, after being postponed on Tuesday due to poor weather conditions. So, it was in perfectly sunny conditions that Bode Miller scored a gold medal in the event, adding to his collection of a bronze in Men's Downhill and a silver in Men's Super-G. Friday's Super-G also saw American Andrew Weibrecht take home silver, so it was almost an American sweep on the podium had it not been for Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal.

And it wasn't just the men taking home medals -- Saturday's Women's Super-G saw Lindsey Vonn earn a Bronze medal after a speedy run. Vonn blames her conservative skiing for not winning the gold. Thinking she had the race in the bag, she took it easy in the second half in a move that she calls her "only mistake."

Vonn wasn't the only one with a speedy performance. On the ice, speedskaters Apolo Ohno and Shani Davis pulled off impressive skates, and both added to their medal collections with new hardware. It was a definite nail-biter, but in the end the USA did great -- Davis was the silver medal winner of Saturday's 1,500 m, while Ohno took home the bronze on the 1,000 m event just a few hours later. Ohno claims to be particularly proud of this medal, since he was in last place for much of the race and only managed to close in on a pair of Canadian brothers at the last minute.
