Buffalo Wild Wings: How Many Calories?

How Many Calories Posted on Feb 3rd 2010 11:00AM by Bev Sklar
Buffalo Wild Wings and Superbowl Sunday make a great couple. But not many wing fans have the willpower to order grilled chicken at a wings joint. Walking into a Buffalo Wild Wings, or any Superbowl party for that matter, usually spells diet trouble. Namely, piles of fried chicken wings and plenty of cold beer. Ordering one dozen at BWW can easily turn into a second dozen when the big screens enter overtime.

Time to face reality -- how many calories in a dozen sauce-spun chicken wings dipped in 1 ounce of blue cheese dressing at Buffalo Wild Wings?

One dozen sauce-spun wings with their bleu cheese sauce have 1,014 calories and 76 grams of fat. That works out to 72 calories per wing. And unfortunately, ordering extra celery with the bleu cheese dressing isn't doing you any favors. The dressing alone has 150 calories and 16 grams of fat.

Whether you're cheering for the Colts or the Saints, you have the entire day to head to the gym before kick-off. Remember, you are your body's biggest cheerleader, so pay attention to the choices you make.

One the smartest appetizers before Superbowl dinner is nuts.
