man wearing boxersThe supposed myth that wearing briefs lowers sperm count isn't far off. Constricting the body's sperm-producing organs can raise temperature, negatively impacting sperm production. So, if you and your partner are trying to get pregnant, tell him to break out his boxers and slide on his loosest pants.

Is it true that a man can increase a low sperm count? If you're having trouble conceiving and the problem seems to lie with a low sperm count, there may not be anything that can be done. Some low sperm count doesn't have a diagnosable cause, so there's little that can be done. However, if it's due to a problem with the hormonal glands -- or low testosterone -- doctors may be able to help.
