Not exactly a record to be proud of, Season 9 over at "The Biggest Loser" is billing itself as the heaviest premiere ever. The show returns to couples format this go round, featuring Michael, the biggest contestant ever at 526 lbs, and half ton twin brothers, John and James. Five of 22 contestants weigh over 400 lbs, and six are deep into the 300s. In traditional fashion, producers kept us on edge with an unnerving first day challenge sending two couples right back home. From public first weigh-ins to record-shattering weight loss, read on for all the Week 1 highs and lows.
Confession Time. Last season we asked you what you wore to "The Biggest Loser" premiere. But maybe evening TV workouts aren't your thing. TV time is typically unwind time, so what we really should be asking is -- did you eat during the Season 9 premiere?
B & J Are Together Again. Good news, Bob and Jillian are training together once again. There's enough game play on the contestant side without adding the whole Bob versus Jillian drama. Their tag team training style is effective and, well, Jillian just seems happier. No worries that contestants will be crying for their favorite trainer.
Mayor of Orlando Grabs the Mic. In a new twist, players had to step on the scale in front of family, friends and their community to log their first weigh-in. If you can feel humiliated and inspired at the same time, this was it. The mayor of Orlando simply looked excited as the half ton twins weighed in. Don't forget last season contestants burned calories all over D.C.
