Alicia Silverstone Backs 21-Day Vegan Kickstart

You don't have to go it alone -- actress and author of "The Kind Diet," Alicia Silverstone, is here to help you out! She's the celebrity headliner for the 21-Day Vegan Kickstart, a free online program that begins January 1.

The 21-Day Vegan Kickstart is designed to lend support to dieters who want to follow a healthy, plant-based diet. "People who try a vegan diet typically lose about a pound a week, without limiting calories," said Susan Levin, expert for the non profit Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. "Our Kickstart program offers a step-by-step guide to eating habits that will shrink your belt size, lower your cholesterol level, and improve your overall health."

In addition to a 21-day meal plan and interactive vegan restaurant guide, you'll also receive emails with recipes and cooking tips and have access to online videos and discussion boards featuring experts.

Silverstone will be joined by NBA legend John Salley, best-selling authors like Kathy Freston and Rory Freedman, actress Marilu Henner and more to offer advice and guidance, because, while starting a weight-loss program is fantastic, it's important to stay healthy and motivated if you want to be successful.
