Half Their Size! How Three Real People Lost Weight

Posted on Dec 31st 2009 1:00PM by Martha Edwards
Here at That's Fit, we love a good inspirational weight-loss story, and the Today Show gave us three more amazing real-life weight loss successes when Matt Lauer talked to people who managed to shed half of their body weight the hard way -- through diet and exercise.

And unlike celebrities who have personal trainers, personal chefs and weight loss coaches at their disposal, each of these dieters shed their weight under the same constraints that the rest of us suffer with -- limited money and not enough time.

Click on the video below to see their incredible transformations. Story continues below the video.

Jamie Stovall, a 27-year-old mom from Phoenix, lost 155 pounds by working out at home and using Internet resources to help her count calories. David Keenan, a 26-year-old from California, lost 180 pounds using workout DVDs. And Christina Taveras, a 30-year-old medical assistant from Florida, managed to shed 178 pounds with the eDiets program and now rocks her skinny jeans on a regular basis. How's that for motivating?

So forget about fancy gadgets and expensive diets -- all it takes is a little determination and a lot of hard work. If they can do it, so can you!
