Holiday Drinks - Be Wary

Posted on Dec 17th 2009 9:00AM by Martha Edwards
They may only be offered once a year, but too many holiday drinks can affect your waistline all year round.starbucks
Don't let those pretty red cups deceive you -- those frothy, sweet, creamy drinks that are offered at Christmas can be deadly to a diet. For instance, a grande Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks can have upwards of 410 calories -- ouch! And even a cup of light egg nog can have 280 calories ... and that's without the booze.

If you want to avoid piling on pounds this holiday season, keep your Christmas drinks to a minimum, and make sure to order them non-fat and without whipped cream.
