Nicole Kidman's Fitness Runs in the Family

It's no secret that the legendary long and lean Nicole Kidman takes care of her body. Just look at her!
After giving birth to 15-month-old Sunday Rose, the Australian actress said she loved having curves. "When you've had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling," she told the Daily Mail. But now, the 42-year-old star is trying to lose those curves in preparation for her next role -- playing a man.
Kidman is reportedly scheduled to start filming soon for "The Danish Girl," where she will play Einar Wegener – the world's first post-operative transsexual. Given her obvious passion for fitness, getting in shape for this role shouldn't be difficult -- especially because running comes naturally to Kidman.
"It's what my dad taught us -- he's a marathon runner," she said in this month's issue of SHE magazine. Kidman's dad not only keeps fit for himself, he makes it a family affair. "He's 71 and goes on 10-mile runs. He takes Sunday hiking on his back for hours," Kidman said.
Even with a life that includes being in the spotlight more often than not, Kidman is able to maintain a balanced approach to her body, saying she prefers to focus on her health rather than numbers on a scale. She admits that her marriage to country music sensation, Keith Urban, sends them to "pit stops at Wendy's," but she added, "I'm six-foot tall, so it's not weight that's an issue for me, but things like cholesterol."
