Eat Before The Party

Arriving at a holiday party hungry could be disastrous -- fill up on something healthy before you go.
Think about it: You arrive at a party after a long, arduous day and you're instantly surrounded by calorific appetizers, tempting sweets and creamy holiday cocktails. Unless you're extremely motivated and strong-willed, chances are your weight-loss conscience is going to take a vacation until the next morning.
That's why you should fill up something healthy like a light salad or a plate of fruit before you head to that holiday party. You don't have to completely avoid anything tasty-looking, but arriving when you're not entirely famished will help you stick to just a few treats, not 12 of each. And be sure to drink lots of water before, during and after the big event.
