Have you lost faith in your diet? Maybe it's time to get a little Biblical. Religious diets have become increasingly popular as local pastors and church leaders are beginning to acknowledge obesity in their congregations. Aside from incorporating aerobics class or diet seminars as part of weekly fellowship activities, Christians are looking to the Bible to help answer their weight loss prayer by using God instead of food as a coping mechanism.

While "Don't run to the fridge, run to God" seems to be the mantra of choice, the diets do more than just send plump parishioners off to the pews. Most of the programs encourage an "all-natural diet from biblical times" that focuses on non-processed, raw foods. Some, including Divine Health and What Would Jesus Eat?, also incorporate Mediterranean cuisine, such as fish, vegetables and fresh fruit, into their programs as well. Find out more on AOL Health.
