According to recent studies, one in 10 obese people think they're a healthy weight, despite medical evidence to the contrary. But the first step to getting healthy is admitting you have a problem with your weight. Don't be too afraid or embarrassed to talk to your doctor about your weight -- he or she should be able to give you an honest opinion on whether those few extra pounds are putting your health at risk. You can also use AOL Health's BMI calculator to determine whether your body mass index is in a healthy range or not.
