After receiving thousands of requests from viewers for more information about the diet plan celebs used to lose weight on the hit show Celebrity Fit Club, medical correspondent and health reporter Ian K. Smith, M.D., wrote the Fat Smash Diet. In it, Smith has formulated a 90-day program with four phases and promises to permanently re-wire your relationship with food and fitness. Smith, who assures that results will be seen in nine days, encourages dieters to "detoxify" their bodies with fruits and vegetables and eat four to five meals a day. Exercise is at the crux of the program, with physical activity prescriptions for each phase. More than half of the book consists of recipes, and meals are balanced and packed with nutrients.
