Don't Fear Carbs

Carbs aren't the enemy. When it comes to maintenance, feel free to indulge wisely.

Recent studies show that while adopting a low-carb diet can help you lose weight, there's no need to banish pasta from your pantry forever because high-carb diets have been shown to be effective when it comes to weight maintenance, as long as your fat and overall calorie consumption is kept at a healthy level.

However, you should try your best to avoid refined, processed carbs -- stick to whole grains to increase your fiber intake and help you feel full throughout the day.
