100-Calorie Snacks: Make Your Own

Need a quick snack on the go? Make your own 100-calorie snack bags.
Ziploc's 100-calorie-sized baggies can be filled with healthy stuff like a handful of nuts or some fresh fruit. But be careful -- just because it fits in the bag, doesn't mean it's only 100 calories. If you filled your bag with chocolate, for instance, you definitely wouldn't be doing your waistline any favors.
So you might want to forget about the plastic bags -- the key is knowing approximate portion sizes for your favorite snack foods. All the same, when it comes to packing a quick snack, you can never go wrong with low-calorie goodies like fruit, veggies and air-popped popcorn (sans butter), so keep those things on hand in case of a sudden snack attack during the stressful holiday season.
