The Martha's Vineyard Detox Diet Food

What You Can Eat

By Myatt Murphy

Don't expect to eat much -- or for that matter, chew much -- on this diet. That's because almost everything on the menu is either made in a blender or chopped up and stewed in a saucepan. The foods recommended are very limited -- dieters can expect to only eat things such as garlic, ginger, green veggies, beets, sweet potatoes, carrots and tomatoes, purple cabbage, summer or yellow squash, celery, collard greens, cucumbers and kale. Some of the soup recipes include creamy broccoli, spicy bean, curried vegetables and Asian spinach. On the beverage side, dieters are expected to only drink non-caffeinated herbal teas and distilled water, as well as antioxidant berry drinks and green drinks made from a powder.
