Don't be afraid of the number on the scale -- In fact, consider sharing it.
That's the idea behind a new motivational scale that automatically sends you current weight to your twitter account. Granted, most of us wouldn't want t broadcast our weight over the Internet for all to see, but it is important to know your numbers and be honest about them, even if it's only to yourself.
Weighing yourself can help you track your dieting progress and motivate you to be more disciplined. But most importantly, your weight can be an indication of your overall health -- if you're too embarrassed to face yours, it might be time to talk to your doctor.
