Fast Food Can Cause Depression

"There seem to be various aspects of lifestyle such as taking exercise which also matter, but it appears that diet is playing an independent role," Dr. Eric Brunner, lead author of the study, told the Daily Mail.
So is a healthy diet really that much better for you? The study, which appeared in the British Journal of Psychiatry, concluded that all the nutrients found in wholesome food compared to fast food affect mental health. High levels of antioxidants, folate and omega-3s are being credited with the positive mental health of those with a balanced diet. On the other hand, unstable blood sugar levels contribute to high levels of depression in junk food eaters.
The bottom line? Junk food won't make you happy. Keep that in mind next time you're weighing up the merits of a salad versus a Whopper at lunchtime.
In fact, poor eating may send you to therapy -- it did for Kevin Federline.

The planet is over 70% water, your body is over 70% water and healthy food is over 70%....
Water can eliminate depression among alot of other mystified problems. (watercure-com)
You are not just what you eat; you are what you drink
Fast food, is very dry food... breads/batters, cooked starches, meats.. refined carbohydtaes held together somehow :)
Normally the pop has enough caffeine that even a large drink can leave you dehydrated.
Eating well isnt buying the newest yogourt, drinking milk and eating fiber bars... Well it is according to the TV... What ever happened to fruits and vegetables?
Lest i start to rant... :) be well :)

Did this study take into account that people who regularly eat fast food are also more likely to be unemployed or in low-paying jobs? I'm sure the high sodium content and low nutrition of fast food doesn't help mood very much, but correlation doesn't always equal causation.

It also has ALOT to do with the amount of MSG and other additives in fast and junk food.
