Cardio Is More Effective Than Heart Surgery
Categories: Fitness
Scared of needles? Thirty minutes on the bike is more effective than heart surgery.
Recent findings show that regular cardio -- and only moderate amounts at that -- is more effective than going under the knife when it comes to fixing your struggling ticker. And while logging a few hours on the treadmill might seem a bit tedious, surely it's better than going into the hospital for a risky operation?
Of course, when it comes to matters of the heart, talk to your doctor, but do consider shedding a bit of sweat for the sake of your heart health.

It was good to reaffirm this information by reading this article. I've watched two family member's have Angiogram's recently and my husbands' 75 year old grandmother was informed that she only has approximately two more years to live. Her heart is so bad that they cannot do another open-heart surgery (she has had one), she is dagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and Diverticulitis. While I don't always enjoy set "exercise", I do believe in moving around verses sitting at the computer all day.
