Warm It Up When It's Cooling Down

Now, those of you who live in seasonal areas know that it's going to get a whole lot cooler than 45 degrees, and before long, it's going to take more than full pants and a long-sleeved shirt to keep you warm when you go running. Fortunately, there are lots of cold weather options that will keep you comfortable without making you look like the abominable snowman. Runner's World has a slew of suggestions, and I have a few additions to make.
Let's start at the top. If you don't keep your head warm, good luck keeping the rest of your body warm. One stylish option is the Sugoi Kana Tuke, a hat that has fleece on the inside and a perfect amount of stretch within (plus, flowers!). If you can't wrap your head around wearing a hat while running, keep your ears toasty with the Athleta Polartec Power Stretch Headband -- it even has a ponytail hole in the back!

Speaking of vests, Runner's World recommends the Brooks LSD Thermal Vest, and I can't disagree. Designed for running, it pulls sweat away from the body as you run, so you stay warm and dry regardless of the temperature. If you want some coverage on your arms, though, once again Under Armour comes through with their well-fitted Momentum Jacket, which promises to "feel like you're running in nothing."
Naturally, you'll need pants, and if you have a favorite pair of running tights, that might work for you (I know I can't bear running with heavy material on my legs, no matter how cold it is). But, if you need a little more warmth, Runner's World points to Moving Comfort's No Chill Hybrid Pants. In addition to being warm and flattering, they feature hand warmers and zippers in the back for putting on boots.
Hand warmers aren't enough, though, when you're running in the cold. Stay warm and safe with a reflective glove, like the ones by Asics.
