Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Motivation
Tonight, WE TV's "Secret Lives of Women" will introduce you to three women who lost dramatic amounts of weight and transformed their identities in the process.
The show's weekly installments dig into subjects from extreme plastic surgery and body modification to mafia wives and mothers of murderers. But tonight's episode -- which explores how three "ordinary" women bucked the odds to lose significant weight -- is packed with inspiration and helpful information, as well as entertainment.
You'll find yourself rooting for Celeste, Jennifer and Cindy as you think about how you might adopt some of their healthy habits.

Today, Celeste is a Zumba instructor with boundless energy. But once upon a time, she was an obese mother whose inability to keep up with her kids embarrassed them and her. "I lost 100 pounds three times," she says ruefully in her interview.
Cindy found Internet fame and a way to hold herself accountable when she made her weight-loss journey public on YouTube. She says she reduced her calorie intake, started moving her body a little, and in her first month, she lost 25 pounds. Now, months later, she's inspiring fans all over the world with her Fatty2Slim video blog.
Think someone with the title Miss Bikini Diva World Champion has always been in perfect shape? Think again. Jennifer Nicole Lee is a first-generation Italian-American whose family showed their love through food.
When she had children of her own, she became an "unnoticeable baby holder," happy with her family, but -- with 70 extra pounds on her frame -- unhappy with herself. After seeing the photo that would become her "before" picture, Jennifer had a revelation: "I want to be in the best shape ever to prove to the world that you can get older and be in the best shape of your life."
She started a vigorous gym routine with a focus on weight training to build lean muscle. She worked hard, adopted a diet built around lean protein, fresh produce and whole grains, and she transformed herself. Jennifer is now known as JNL, a fitness mogul who continues her own hard-core workouts even as she inspires women all over the world to change their lives.
To those women looking for the motivation to get started, JNL offers some advice. "Clarity is key," she says. "Number one, what are your goals? Number two, why do you want to achieve them? And number three, how are you going to achieve your goals?"
And when the going gets tough, she encourages women to "be real" with themselves. "If you don't make the improvements today, where will you be a year from now?" Two years from now? Or five? If you allow yourself to live the way you are now, where will you be?" she asks.
Watch Celeste, Cindy and JNL tonight to learn from their examples and pick up some tips that can help you start your own transformation.
How far would you go to lose weight? "Secret Lives of Women" also takes a look at extreme diets and the radical methods some women are using to lose weight.

Awesome, inspirational article. So many times it's easy to think - I want to lose 20 pounds, but it seems to be such a daunting task. I was only able to lose my weight after approaching it with a very slow method. A pound or two a month. By the end of the year - I had reached my goal! Don't give up, even if your loss is slow. It's better than gaining, I say!

My story is much of the same execpt I was already overweight before I had my son, it just got worse after that. You know once you get on a good plan, not a fad diet or any kind of extreme program just a good plan that fits your lifestyle anything is possible. Eating right and moving your body in the perfect combination you will reach your goal maybe even go beyond it like I did. Most people think cardio is the way to go and it really isn't. Shown in the video is strength training at first that can seem a bit scary however what she does in the video is not how you would really start out. While I was losing my weight I did the strength training not to the extreme as she does in the video. I do it all at home three days a week for about 45 minutes each time. There is an article that explains the benefits of strength training for women if you are interested in learning more http://www.journeydownthescale.info/Lose_belly_fat_articles.html

I like this article! With proper diet and discipline, Indeed you can't go wrong. I've seen people who look so unhealthy due to unhealthy eating and lifestyle. The problem with these people is they get low self esteem and tend to eat and eat to cover their odd feeling. Losing weight entails a holistic approach. First is to accept the fact that your'e unhealthy and that you are eating the bad stuff. Second is implementation, Eat Alkaline based foods on a regular basis such as raw veggies and fresh fruits. Avoid beverages since its high in calories. Last but not the least. Exercise regularly. It sounds clichet but this is the safest and most effect way to achieve your goal to have a fit and healthy body. That should work
