According to recent research, working out in a group setting makes you happier than working out on your own. Sweating it out in a class or with other people actually increases the amount of endorphins released during the sweat session, meaning that not only can you push yourself harder, you come away feeling happier about the experience. So maybe it's time to forgo the solo treadmill run for some quality time with other fit-minded people?
There are plenty of ways to get fit in a group -- sign up for a class at your gym, or just show up to one of the drop-in sessions they offer. You can also recruit a couple of friends or get in contact with one of the local running or biking groups in your area.
