Worried about diabetes? Go Mediterranean to reduce the need for blood sugar meds.
That's according to recent research from Italy that shows that eating a fresh Mediterranean-style diet could reduce or even eliminate the need to be on medication to control your diabetes.
But even if you're not diabetic or pre-diabetic, there's no reason you shouldn't start now. The really good news is that the Mediterranean diet is not only healthy, it's delicious. A diet that includes red wine, olive oil, nuts, fresh fish, whole grains and all the produce you can eat? Yes please!
