Yep -- it's right up there with whole wheat bread and brown rice. But, like anything, it loses its healthy benefits fast once you start slathering it with butter, salt and artificial flavors. Enjoy yours au naturel to reap the benefits of this surprisingly filling and nutritious health food.
Obviously, this means ditching the microwave bags in your pantry that promise extra butter and true movie-theater-style corn. Instead, buy the plain kernels and either pop them in an air popper or on the stove with a little bit of olive oil.
