Clickety, click, click -- questionable over-the-counter supplements allegedly containing steroids or steroid-a-likes are falling down like a train of dominoes. The Food and Drug Administration just raided American Cellular Labs, which manufactures Tren Xtreme and Mass Xtreme. The FDA also advised consumers to stop taking eight body building supplements made by the company.

This warning has a familiar ring to it -- last May Jonny threw a good riddance party when the FDA slammed the door shut on Hydroxycut, known for causing serious health problems. Here are eight Xtreme supplements recently targeted by the FDA:

  • TREN-Xtreme
  • MASS Xtreme
  • ESTRO Xtreme
  • AH-89-Xxtreme
  • HMG Xtreme
  • MMA-3 Xtreme
  • VNS-9 Xtreme
  • TT-40-Xtreme
Injuries associated with this gang are as extreme as their names -- serious liver injury, stroke, kidney failure and pulmonary embolism. Bottom line, don't diet and muscle-build with pills. Your best lab is a kitchen full of healthy foods and regular, vigorous exercise.
