Rush Limbaugh says he's lost almost 90 pounds since March and seven pounds since Saturday. That's some quick weight loss -- the quickest ever for the 58-year-old radio host and conservative political commentator -- but don't ask him exactly how he's done it, because as he shares on The Rush Limbaugh Show website, his program is just too intricate and detailed.

"It's too complicated," he tells American Superstar. "I mean putting the menu together is a jigsaw puzzle every day. It would take me 45 minutes every day to tell you what the diet plan is and answer all your questions about why it works." Still, he tries to explain.

Limbaugh, a known dieter, reveals he's slimming down with Quick Weight Loss Centers. He says he consumes about 1,500 calories a day, but how those calories get put together, he's not really sure. "For example, you cannot have two proteins at one meal," he says. "So I cannot have one night Surf and Turf. I can have five and a half ounces of fillet, seven ounces of chicken or fish, but I can't combine it. I can't have three ounces of beef and four ounces of fish. I don't know why. I just follow it and it works."

While Limbaugh says his diet includes protein, complex carbs, fruit, fats and some supplements -- not bad -- it's never a good idea to follow a quickie diet too complex to explain or understand. Sure, it's great that the guy is down to 211, with his sights set on 200, but isn't a sustainable diet a simple one, really?

What do you think: Is Limbaugh headed for good health or is he on a path to diet destruction?
