Picking up where they left off in "Skinny Bitch," authors Barnouin and Freedman dispense sassy, pushing-and-shoving tips to get guys in great shape too. In an interview with That's Fit, they weigh on moobs, healthier sources of protein and how women have the right to school men on getting fit. Note: These girls have a Vegan agenda within their tough love prose (not that That's Fit thinks there's anything wrong with veganism), so those who get squeamish at the mention of soy, consider yourselves forewarned.

That's Fit: What myths need to be busted about men and soy?

Rory Freedman: All of them! No, soy won't give you man-boobs (but eating fast food will). And no, soy doesn't make men have "wittle wee wees" (blame something else for your micro-doodle). Meat, pork, chicken, eggs and dairy, are high in fat, saturated fat and cholesterol, so using soy protein to transition away from animal protein is a much better choice. But should you eat soy products all day, every day? No, eating a well balanced diet of fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds and beans is the way to go. Soy products are great replacement foods (for meat and dairy) and convenience foods.

That's Fit: How do you respond to "You're both women, why should we listen to you?" from men who want to get in shape?

Freedman: Lots of male obstetricians successfully deliver babies, yet they can't birth one themselves. We didn't reinvent the wheel here; we wrote a how-to-eat guide based on scientific research, which we cited from throughout the entire book. Women read books written by men, men read books written by women. We don't anticipate sexism keeping men from reading "Skinny Bastard." When it comes to diet, the nutritional needs of men and women are more similar than people may think. And from the thousands of e-mails we've received from both men and women, we know that the information and motivation they receive by reading our books is life changing.

That's Fit: So sugar is bad, but carbs are okay? Explain.

Kim Barnouin: People tend to consume too much sugar, usually in the form of sugar-filled drinks, unhealthy cakes, cookies and other treats that are also loaded with fat and cholesterol. Sugary foods will cause your blood sugar levels to rise quickly, then will drop just as fast leaving you tired, grumpy and reaching for more sugar. There is nothing wrong with having treats, but you could be eating healthier snacks that are made with better sweeteners and have less fat. And try eating them in moderation. As for carbs, you need them or you won't have any energy! They are a vital part of our daily meals, and by choosing the healthiest carbs you will be reaping the rewards. Toss the white refined pastas, rice and breads and reach for the whole grain breads, brown rice and whole wheat pasta. These hearty comfort foods will fill you up, and provide you with energy and fiber. No carbs, no fun!
