Is no! no! Hair Removal a Yes?
Categories: Reviews & Products
nance. If you resent having to shave every day or so, maybe it's time to look at another option, like laser hair removal.Laser hair removal has gotten a lot of buzz lately, but there are a few major problems. For one, it's costly, and for another, it requires you to make an appointment with a professional, which doesn't always fit in with your busy schedule. And finally, there's debate over whether it's safe for all skin tones -- different lasers are required for dark skin as opposed to light skin.
However, I had a chance to try out a solution -- the no!no! personal laser hair removal system. It's a compact device (smaller than a cell phone) that painlessly removes hair using heat, not light, so it's safe for everybody regardless of skin tone and hair color. I've been using it for four weeks, and now, I'm ready to share my results.
The Good
Using the no!no! really is easy, although I was pretty nervous the first time after watching the How-To videos -- it sounded so involved, but in reality, it's not. And now, I'm definitely able to go longer in between shaving because there's less hair growing back on my legs, and what is growing back is coming in more slowly. Score!
The BadIt works really well on my legs, but it's less effective on the areas I really wanted to be hair-free -- the underarm and bikini line. I'm not sure if it's because the hair in those areas is coarser or because it has a different growth pattern or what, but those areas are definitely not affected as well. Additionally, you can't expect to be hair free after the first couple of treatments -- it's very much a process, and it takes a few weeks to see results.
The Rest
Something that could be problematic is that you must use the no!no! twice a week consistently for results. And, it's not like a quick shave -- each treatment takes me about 20 minutes, sometimes more. The smell of burnt hair is a little disconcerting (although the instructions do tell you to expect it, so it's not a surprise). However, I think all of that is totally worthwhile to go longer between shaving!
The no!no! is available on the no!no! website or at Sephora for $175, which is far less than you'd pay for professional hair removal at a dermatologist's office or spa. If you want your legs to stay smoother, longer, and you're willing to put a bit of time into it, I think that the no!no! could be a yes!yes! for you!

Not directly about their no-no product but rather the face trainer- is it just me or does it look a little bit like the "Face Bra" pioneered by Elaine in Ally McBeal?

I must admit your comment made me laugh since I was a big fan of Ally McBeal. But no, it has nothing to do with the Face Bra invented by crazy Elaine on the show. I was actually introduced to the FaceTrainer after a long time of using the no!no! hair removal device. I was so satisfied and happy to find a product that answered my exact needs that I didn't even give a second thought when they first introduced the FaceTrainer and I think I was one of the first that have ever tried it
To me, Face Trainer is definitely the answer to the disturbing question –what I can do to help my face to feel and look younger. You see, one day you wake up, look in the mirror and find out you're not 16 years old anymore. Your muscles aren't the same and surprisingly you find a wrinkle you could swear wasn't there yesterday. You don't like the shape of your body and you realize that something has to be done. So you start with exercise and then combine it with a diet. And if you are consistent and committed enough, you see results. If not, well…
Same thing with your face - you can't just put your face on a diet, but you can certainly give it the exercises it needs, just like every other muscle in your body.
This is how I got to know the Face Trainer, which is not only clever workout accessory; it also helps with blood circulation. I already think my face feels and looks younger, tighter, and glowing.
When you go to the gym you work on all parts of your body, symmetrically. Face Trainer (I think of it as my private gym for my face) does the same thing, but for my face. The Face Trainer is made of neoprene that provides flattens the skin (and protects me for more wrinkle creation as in when you pout), adds resistance to the training (like training bands, dumbbells, things like that). But, as with anything else at home, in order to achieve best results, you have to work at it. It's not an overnight miracle. This is the best way to gain results. With any exercise or workout, you don't get real, lasting results without a bit of time and a lot of commitment
I like the idea that my face has chance to tighten up a bit!
Of course the solution can either be provided with the knife (ouch … ) or an injection (again, Ouch … and costly) one.. Compared to those costs and pain, the Face Trainer made more sense to me. I definitely preferred 10 minutes of face exercise a day to the knife or the needle.
I've used the Face Trainer for a little over 2 months now. I spend no more than 10 minutes exercising a day. 14 days after I first started using it, my face felt more energized than it had in a long time. My kids laughed (still do) and I get hockey mask and Hannibal Lector jokes from my husband all the time.(No one didn't mention yet the face bra from Ally McBeal). But both, my family and friends started giving me compliments about how much better I am looking these days. So when they laugh, I do too. I saved a bunch of $$$ on a plastic surgery. I still might do it one day, but if I can postpone it, why not?

BTW the no!no! is the first device that actually solved my long, thick hair of my legs and arms. I recently heard that you can buy it with promo code (nonoSALE) that gives you a 77$ discount.

Actually, I did buy it with a promo code on the website and I got the discount. As for your question - it didn’t hurt at all. I was ready for the burnt hair smell, so it didn't bother me at all. I really like the idea of removing my hair with a product that based on heat instead of laser or chemicals. The results are good too.
