Frappuccinos - How Many Calories?

I don't know about you, but when the weather warms up to any sort of temperature that doesn't require a coat, I immediately crave a cold drink, and usually a tall glass of ice water won't cut it. I want something tasty I can sip on as I amble through a park or do a bit of window shopping. A frappuccino fits the bill nicely.
But while they're meant to be a refreshing oasis between meals, most of the fraps out there are more like meals themselves. That can't be healthy, right? So, you tell me ...

There are 460 calories in a Grande Java Chip Frappuccino with whipped cream. Shockingly, that's one of the better drinks out there. You want to give yourself a heart attack? Go on and check out the calorie counts in some of the Blended Cream Frappuccinos, size Venti with whip. Go on, I dare ya.
It goes without saying that 460 calories is a pretty big chunk of your daily calorie total, especially for something that's not classified as breakfast, lunch or dinner. But that doesn't mean all hope is lost -- there are some healthier choices. Stick to the Frappuccino Light Blended Coffee menu and you'll be looking at 120 to 200 calories maximum, if you skip the whip, that is. An even better choice? The Starbucks Double Shot on ice only has 90 calories, and it's just as refreshing as any of the blended drinks.
