What Diet Have You Tried?

There are a lot of diet plans out there -- some effective, some difficult and some diets that are down-right ridiculous. I don't think there are too many people who have weight to lose who haven't pinned their hopes on one advertised diet plan or another. So I wonder ... what diet plan(s) have you tried?

I have tried many diets in the past, but what finally worked for me was Weight Watchers. I lost 50+ pounds and have kept it off for two years and counting.

Long ago I did the Slimfast diet. It was boring. I have found that a diet journal with a healthy diet of all types of food works the best for me. I keep track of what and how much I eat and adjust my diet accordingly.

Along with my doctor's help, I'm cutting fat, esp sat fat, and simple carbs including sugar, and increasing protein. Trying to stay under 1200 cals/day. Have lost 13 lbs in 2.5 months so far! (93 lbs to go)

I lost more than 60 pounds on the Atkins Diet back in 1998 and 1999. I followed it very carefully, right through all four phases, and I still stick with moderate carbohydrates. I'm proud to say that after more than ten years I'm still within five pounds of the goal weight that I set when I began low-carbing.
