Lucciana's Absurd Love Has Helped Her Lose Mega Weight!

That's Fit Club is our feature devoted to you, the reader! We have all learned so much on our paths to becoming more fit, and now it's time to learn from and inspire each other! That's Fit Club members are constantly working to better themselves. Some are perfect; some are not. But all have health on the mind.
Name: Lucciana Costa
Age: 20
Occupation: Student and musician.
How often do you exercise? Five to six days a week.
What type of exercise do you do? I switch between interval and endurance training on the treadmill (I absurdly love the treadmill), the elliptical, and then weight train every day alternating muscle groups.
What gets you to work out, even when you're feeling lazy? I like to do one crunch or one squat when I'm unmotivated. When I feel how strong my muscles are now, I realize that they only got that way from consistently exercising. These single reps almost always inspire me to go to the gym.
What's on your MP3 player? A lot! Music is essential when I'm working out. I have a bunch of playlists specifically timed for warm up, high intensity, cool down, weight training, crunch time etc ... Who do I have in there? Nada Surf, Suburban Legends, Ben Folds, Daft Punk (Alive 2007 is the best album to work out to ever, hands down), Chemical Brothers, TV on the Radio, Wilco, Roisin Murphy and more. I could go all day!
Favorite healthy food? Homemade black bean and sweet potato burgers, with a little bit of veggie cheese mixed in to hold it all together.
Favorite not-so-healthy food? Ice cream and pasta in all forms. I am Italian after all.
Greatest fitness accomplishment? Losing 30 pounds and keeping it off. Doing a complete overhaul on my lifestyle choices at a young age is also a biggie for me. Healthy eating and regular exercise are a part of my life now, and I couldn't be happier!
Best fitness advice? Healthy living can't come from an all or nothing attitude. If you consistently make choices that incorporate your fitness goals, your health goals and your pleasure goals (like eating cake on your birthday), then you will have a balance in your life that is nourishing for more than just your body.
Congratulations on your success, Luciana! Most important, you have a great attitude about staying fit, and I imagine you'll remain this way forever. I'm incredibly proud of you! Fitz.
