How often do you exercise? Six to seven days a week.
What type of exercise do you do? Mostly running, some biking and weight training.
What gets you to work out, even when you're feeling lazy? Thinking about my overall health (reading That's Fit!) and for the last few months, my 1st marathon training schedule. Also making sure that I keep pace with my super fit hubby, Tripp!
What's on your MP3 player? I love old 80s rock songs (Def Leopard, ACDC), but I listen to a local morning show in Raleigh, NC all the time to keep me laughing on the long runs!
Favorite healthy food? Nonfat Greek yogurt with fruit and granola.
Favorite not-so-healthy food? Anything covered in cheese!
Greatest fitness accomplishment? My completed training for my first full marathon that I ran on Valentine's Day in Myrtle Beach, SC. My husband was there to cheer me on after running the half-marathon!
Best fitness advice? Don't exercise to lose weight and look good; those are bonuses of working toward goals, gaining a sense of accomplishment, and stress reduction

Jane,
Super work on the 6-7 days a week workouts -- that's an achievement. Any concern about working out too much? hurting something? Not giving the bod a day to rest?
On a lighter note -- bet you beat your girlfriends armwrestling!

I am not sure about the arm wrestling thing..... yet! But I am really aware of when my body needs a break and really try to vary my workout intensity either mileage wise with running, and/or mixing in the bike and eliptical trainer. My husband and I like to hike with our dog too on the weekends.

Jane,
What an inspiration you are! I loved the last bit, about working out for YOU, rather than to look good and lose weight. That's a great thing to remember.
Keep up the hard work!!

Jane,
When you cross over to the dark side and armwrestle the girlfriends, let me know.....do you get the impression that I kind of like fit girls doing tests of strength?
