LaloFit - A Great DVD and a Great Giveaway
Categories: Fitness
I recently had the chance to review LaloFit, the new DVD by Lalo Fuentes. And take it from me (and my aching thighs, shoulders, and abs): This is no fluffy, peppy workout. Lalo Fuentes guides you through his "freeze" technique for 55 minutes, but the workout doesn't leave you cold. The routine is mainly composed of serious strength moves, but at the end I feel like I've had a cardio workout as well. The DVD also comes with some great features such as the option to listen to Lalo's instructions, or just follow along with music. (Although, ladies, you're going to want to listen to Lalo. He's got a great accent ... it's motivation to keep you moving.)
And now for the great news. We've got a copy of LaloFit ready to send to a lucky That's Fit reader!

Working out with a DVD allows me the convenience of working out at home yet with an instructor. It's like taking a class without worrying about making it to the gym on time.

I like working out to a DVD b/c I can multitask when I do it. I can have food cooking, laundry going and get my workout all at the same time!

I love working out outdoors. However, time and weather do not always cooperate. DVD's allow for living room (or home gym) work-outs on those days. Also, they allow me to try a wide variety of exercises I might not try, doing so with instructors I would otherwise never see or hear.

I like working out to DVD's because I get to choose when I work out. I workout at home and don't have the luxury to go to group classes, and dvd's bring me that group class structure!

As a stay at home Mom I find I have to work out while the kids are playing around me. I am getting pretty burned out with my current workouts and would love to try something new.

I'm a student, so I don't exactly have the money to take many different classes, even though I would LOVE to! That's why I love DVDs! My friends and I borrow each others, and this way, I can work out with Jillian Michaels, or do some yoga, or even Pilates! I get the variety without necessarily spending the big bucks!

The best thing about working out with a DVD is that you can do it anytime, and anywhere. Like, if I go on vacation, I can bring my exercise with me!

I would much rather work out in the privacy of my own home. Not only do I have the ability to concentrate more easily on what I am doing, but I can laugh at myself when I mess up, and be silly when necessary.

Working out with a DVD is the closest I can get to having a personal trainer. It is nice getting to tap into the expertise of different fitness experts. It gives me the ability to keep my exercise routine varied. I like being able to get up first thing in the morning, pop in a DVD and get my workout done. That way, even if everything else goes wrong in the day, at least I got my workout in.

I like it because when we moved, we lost the gym that was just 7 minutes away. I can't be bothered to get dressed for working out and then drive for a 1/2 hour each way. We are almost finished building an exercise room in the basement, and there will be a shelf for all my workout DVDs down there!

DVD's are a great addition to any fitness regime; you never have to miss a workout. Not enough time to make it to the gym? Pop a DVD in and do a workout....or two. Now with the popularity and benefits of 10 minute workouts, I can fit a 10 minute session in before work or if you only have time for cardio at the gym..why not do whittle your waist with an awesome 10 minute Abs routine while dinner is in the over? DVD's are excellent.

DVD workouts are good for days when I can't get out to the gym

I absolutely love my collection of fitness DVDs! They're great especially for this time of year, when it's too cold to exercise outside. I do enjoy going to the gym, but I currently can't afford it, and I certainly can't afford taking classes anywhere; a DVD costs the same amount as a single class at most gyms (or yoga or pilates studios), and I can watch them over and over again, learning the moves better each time! For me, there's nothing better for getting a good workout in without having to leave the comfort of my home.

I hope I win because I could really use a DVD to work out with. February and March are the hardest months in the year for me to motivate myself to work out, because it's still so cold and gray and blah outside and it's also crunch time for school, and I'd rather just lay on the couch with a muffin and watch mindless TV. I think I'd be more likely to work out if I could still stare at the TV but minus the muffin and get up and moving!

I like to work out with DVDs to supplement my regular workouts. Sometimes I don't have time to make it to the gym, or I have to work through my favorite classes. Those days, I just come home and do a DVD!

I like to workout at home to a DVD because it is a great way to ensure I get my workout in for the day regardless of the weather. Plus I never get bored because the options are endless. I can serious strength training one day, and the next day I can pump up my heart rate with kickboxing, follow that with some yoga. Working out at home is what keeps me in shape.
