24-Hour Birthday Run, Anyone?

Last year I spent a nauseous birthday in the Colorado Rockies. I laid in a tent with the 48-hour flu, pulled out of it and hit the birthday trail several pounds lighter for a wobbly high altitude training hike in preparation for a summit attempt two days later. I thought I was birthday tough until I read about the 24-Hour Treadmill Birthday Guy.Runners World reports 30-year-old B.J. Van Buesekom decided to wave goodbye to his youthful 20s with a birthday running extravaganza. Treadmill Birthday Guy ran 24 hours nearly non-stop on a treadmill at Athletic Performance, Inc. (API) in Brooklyn City. In this AOL Video, Van Buesekom reported he hit The Wall around mile 33, but he broke through for an 80-mile day and a quick $3,000 for the American Lung Association.
Happy birthday ice bath, B.J. You deserve a cupcake. But it doesn't top George Hood's ride into the Guinness Book of World Records last spring. Anyone have a cool fitness birthday feat to share?
